The two types of dialog boxes are modal and modeless; their formats are shown in fig-ure 3. Modal boxes have no title bar across the top and require an action such as clicking on the Continue or Cancel button before anything else can be done by the machine. In contrast, modeless dialog boxes have a title bar across the top and act as normal windows, so actions not associated with the dialog box can be performed even though the dialog box is active. _Channell ( a ) Modal.
