(Ill) Albert, son of Abraham Layton, was born in Monongalia county, West Virginia , December 7, 1865. He was educated in the public schools, and began business life as a carriage painter, an occupation he followed for twenty-three years. He was then associated with the Eureka Pipe Line Company for three years, later returning to his original business, contracting, painting and interior decorating.
