Maniac Magee is the story of Jeffrey Lionel Magee, who lost his parents at the age of three in a trolley accident. Leaving his relatives, who won't talk to each other, he searches for a home with a real address that he can call his own in Two Mills, Pennsylvania. In the meantime, he earns the nickname 'Maniac.' He can punt a football perfectly while carrying a book in his other hand, he can hit an inside-the-park home run, and he can untie even the most Gordian of knots.
