The purpose of the quantitative correlational study was to determine what methods leaders use to encourage U.S. Army enlisted members to participate in continuing education and examine any relationship between leader encouragement and the amount of continuing education of enlisted soldiers. Data analysis presented a significant difference between the method of providing information in reference to career advancement and amount of participation. Additional data analysis revealed a positive correlation between leader encouragement and amount of U.S. Army enlisted soldiers' participation in continuing education. The final analysis for predicting participation did not significantly contribute to the explanation of the variation for participation of enlisted soldiers in continuing education.Army Regulation 600-3: The Army Personnel Proponent System.
