Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD) has proved to be an attractive tool for obtaining ultrafine-grained and nanocrystalline materials in bulk form; free of defects such as pores and impurities. This collection brings together 162 papers submitted by scientists and engineers from Japan, Russia, USA, Korea, China, Ukraine, Germany and Austria. The papers cover important aspects of materials processed by using SPD: microstructural features, mechanical properties and physical properties of SPD materials; including computer simulation, and the complete range of process development: from fundamentals to applications.
