This study examined the effectiveness of a group therapy program developed specifically for this dissertation for young children with sexual behavior problems who are currently placed in a residential facility. The curriculum was primarily based on Cognitive-Behavioral Theory, but was designed to be developmentally appropriate for children less than eleven years old. The study's sample involved eleven 8 to 11 year-old male children who were assigned to either a 12 week Therapy Group or a Delayed Therapy Group. The study hypothesized that participants in the Therapy Group would significantly reduce sexual acting out behaviors when compared to the Delayed Therapy Group.
