This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 10th European PVM/MPI Users' Group Meeting held in Venice, Italy, in September/October 2003. By utilizing the message logs, a failed MPI process can restart without interrupting other correctly working processes. ... Second, checkpointing in-transit messages is MPI implementation dependent.
